This is a listing for a Minolta series 6 filter, a series that can be difficult to find. It is used by sandwiching it between the hood and the hood frame. It is used by sandwiching it in the two-piece hoods of old Japanese L-mount lenses such as Canon L39/Leica L mount. Since it does not use screw-in filters, there is no worry of vignetting. Also, it contributes to the appearance by not making the lens unnecessarily long when the hood is attached. (Although the hood will be permanently attached...) Leica and Kodak also manufactured retaining frames for series 6 filters. There are some minor scratches, but I did not feel any effect on the shooting results. No returns or refunds.
