(New, Unused) Kiyomizu-yaki Confectionery Bowl Camellia (Sazanka) Made by Heian Takamine Openwork [In Wooden Box] Approximate Size: Diameter: 18 cm Height: 10 cm My parents received this, likely as a gift, sometime during the Showa era. It has been stored unused for a long time. Kiyomizu-yaki confectionery bowls with camellia (sazanka) patterns are still made in similar designs today, but the shapes and patterns seem to vary slightly. This item comes in a wooden box, and wood shavings were used as cushioning material, similar to today's bubble wrap. (See image 13) This may be how things were packaged in the Showa era.
