New, unused item stored at home, a set of 4 sometsuke (blue and white) plates (everything in the images). Since inban (printed) techniques were used from the Meiji era onwards, I can't say for sure, but these were made before or during the Meiji era as high-quality, hand-painted items. The designs are hand-painted by artisans, and each one is subtly different in terms of the shades of cobalt blue and the brushstrokes. The red circled area in the second image has been carefully crafted, with the clay built up to create unevenness. Size: Diameter: Approximately 10.5cm, Height: Approximately 3cm These are old items. Although they are new and unused, they have been stored for a considerable amount of time since they were made. Therefore, there may be some dirt from storage, and unlike today, inspections were less strict, so there may be warping, imperfections, and chips on the foot ring or rim (images 6 and 7).
