It has a real fade like an art piece, with an incredible atmosphere that can't be replicated by artificial distressing. I believe it's cotton-poly, so it's soft and comfortable, and looks great. The size is also good, and given the cotton-poly material, I think it was originally XL or larger. You rarely find a worn-in shirt with this fabric and size.
