It's styled with wax, liquid glue, and hairspray. The ahoge (hair antenna) is firmly set to hold its shape. The wig will be compressed for shipping. I've made it so it shouldn't lose its shape when compressed, but for an additional 5000 yen, I can ship it fixed to a styrofoam mannequin.
