In my case, I refer to bamboo with the thickest node diameter of about 30-35mm as "extremely thick." This size is quite rare in the bamboo grove where I collect Hotei bamboo. First, I lightly remove the buds, gently sand down the surrounding protrusions, and then carefully wash the bamboo with water using a brush. Thank you.
