Because the printing is done on the yarn before weaving, various weaving methods and materials can be incorporated!! Tape weaving is extremely difficult, as the tape tends to twist, making the product unusable. However, we have modified the machine to prevent twisting, and we've managed to weave it with almost no twisting. Furthermore, we print the design on the tape itself via transfer, ensuring the pattern doesn't distort during weaving. Thick wool yarn is used for the weft, and by applying a fulling process (縮絨加工 - shukujū kakō), we prevent the tape from popping out. We only have 1-2 pieces as development samples.
