This is a dry lacquer bowl purchased at an antique market. It's just the right size to fit in your hand. It feels heavy when you pick it up. It's a genuine article, different from similar-looking items. It was used as a confectionery container in the past. Currently, I occasionally display it in the alcove and enjoy it. I didn't intend to part with it, but I'm considering offering it to someone who feels a connection with it. There are some areas where the lacquer is lifting or peeling.
