I wore this while snowboarding. It absorbs impact when I fall. Also, although it has a different purpose, wearing it provides insulation and keeps me warm. There is a fraying on the upper cuff of the right sleeve. (See photo 5) In addition, there are many snags caused by the Velcro, as well as deterioration from use. If anyone understands this as a safe and reliable protector, I would appreciate your consideration.
