This coat is padded and lined with fleece, so my child could wear it comfortably even in the dead of winter. The ribbed cuffs have some pilling, which I've tried to remove, but some small pills remain. There is also some dull soiling. Because the fabric is glossy, some areas are difficult to see, but there are stains and dull soiling over a wide area. It was very useful in the winter, so there is a lot of dirt. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about stains.
