As written in the "How to Play" section of the book, move the yellow train backward, wind it up, and run it along the groove in the book. The train actually runs. I received this a while ago and my child played with it, but they don't use it anymore, so I'm selling it. There are noticeable stains, so please only consider if you understand this.
