Tokkuri (sake bottle) from Touun Kiln, Kutani-yaki. This is from a series featuring Japanese castles. Purchased several decades ago. Stored at home for a long time. The bottle uses the heavy and glossy Kutani-yaki glaze and traditional Japanese paints. [Fukuyama Castle] Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Also known as Hisamatsu Castle, Ashiyo Castle. In 2022, it celebrated the 400th anniversary of its construction. It is the only castle in Japan with iron plating on the north side of the keep. Selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Castles.
