This is a footed cake plate from Astier (formerly Le Gall). It's a large plate for serving cakes and fruit, but it also seems like it could be used as a water basin. It has been carefully stored unused. It is a very beautiful piece that shows it is handmade. There are two Jean-Baptiste backstamps on the back.
