This is a chawan (tea bowl) storage cylinder for sencha tea utensils. It is made of bamboo, woven in an ajiro (wickerwork) pattern. In the photo, it is storing a chawan with a mouth diameter of approximately 6cm. There is a mark on the bottom that reads "竹山" (Takeyama). Please note that the chawan is not included.
