Purchased a year ago at Kobo-san at To-ji Temple in Kyoto. The fan-patterned background is beautiful, and the luxurious rose shibori (tie-dye) in a vibrant yellow is particularly eye-catching. The roses are brighter than in the photos, and gold powder is applied to the tips of the petals. Although it is a used item, it is in beautiful condition with no signs of wear. I wore it once for a few hours as a coat over my clothes. The fabric is unknown, but judging from the delicate background pattern, I believe it is silk.
