A dodecagonal (12-sided) plate from the early Creil kiln (CREIL) dating from around 1800-1830, approximately 250 years old. These are far less common than octagonal plates, making them extremely valuable, and this is a very rare small size. The near-circular form blends and harmonizes with the dining table, making it easy to arrange, and the elegant, understated laurel leaf relief is a beautiful design. Perfect size for desserts, bread, and salads, as well as a serving plate. This beautiful item was selected from a group of similar pieces, and as you can see in photo 7, it is a plain dodecagon in excellent condition, which is very rare to find even if you are specifically looking for one. In excellent condition for a French antique. There are no special mentions, but there are some scratches on the edges (photo 5), and slight cutlery marks in the center when held up to the light. There are some areas where the glaze on the edge is slightly uneven (photo 6). The backstamp is present (photo 7).
