Thank you for viewing. This is a V.T. control knob for early PE guitars. For those who own early PE guitars from 1977 to 1981, the deterioration of the knobs is a common concern. It's not unusual to see examples where the plating has lost its luster and is peeling off. This is a new current reissue item that has been aged. The aging is light, and while it may feel subtle compared to well-used vintage knobs, it's perfect considering the aging that will occur with future use. Current reissue items have a vinyl printed veneer on the top, but this one has a striped ebony veneer that has been processed and fitted, and the texture is superior to the original (rosewood). The difference from the original is that there is an adjustment screw on the side of the knob. A hex wrench is required. Type...Electric Guitar
