Reason for being junk ⇒ The power turns on, and the top screen displays beautifully for a moment, but it cannot charge, and an error message appears, causing it to shut down. It is believed that (1) the battery, or (2) the battery protection circuit board, or (3) both, are faulty. I looked it up online, and it seems to be a common problem, and there are repair services available, but it seems to cost around 20,000 yen.
