This is a custom-painted HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos. The color scheme uses dark gray and red, toned down with dark shades to create a dark atmosphere. The weathering effect gives the impression of a veteran machine, with some parts showing exposed rust-preventative undercoat, while others are left untouched to create a contrast in the hardness of the parts (※This is just a concept). Basic work such as gate processing and seam removal was done, and the surface was finally sanded with 600 grit sandpaper before painting. There were no particular special modifications, but the arms were modified for easier assembly after seam removal. The top coat was adjusted from gloss to matte, but it's more of a wish than anything else. This is not an industrial product, but a handmade work, so please consider purchasing with the understanding that there may be some imperfections or paint peeling. [Before shipping, I will check the paint and if there is any peeling, I will touch it up with spot painting and apply a coat, so there's nothing extreme to worry about.] Regarding shipping, I will take measures to prevent scratches during shipping, such as wrapping the joints with urethane sheets and sandwiching the model securely with wavy urethane foam. (No mace, etc.) Finally, I'd like to say that the masking for the color separation on this project was quite a challenge, and I entered a kind of negative zone, thinking, "What am I even doing? I'm tired... I want to give up," and so on, while I was working on it with a lot of perseverance. The creator's resentment might even further enhance the overall dark color scheme... As a side effect, the antenna might grow at night, or it might be creepy and come back to the alcove every time you throw it away, or the posing might change. Just kidding.
