The symbols of the Freemasons are powerfully expressed through a heavy embossed (raised) process. The "compass," "square," and the letter "G" in the center. The powerful initial decorations arranged around them are a masterpiece that gives a sense of the heavy dignity not found in current mass-produced products. The back is engraved with "FROM CLASS 20 1/2". We speculate that this is a sign that it was provided by the lodge as a commemoration of admission (or promotion) in the first half of 1920.
