They're characters from the snacks usually found in the children's candy section. It doesn't seem to be a special anniversary or anything, but there's been a recent expansion of merchandise. This time, they're divided into Set A and Set B, each with 5 types. It would have been nice if they were toy finger puppets where you could see the contents, but they're sold in blind boxes. Apparently, buying a set of 10 will give you two complete sets, so I decided to take the plunge and buy them.
