※ I purchased these as souvenirs for my home when I visited Naruko Onsen about 35 years ago. ※ Storage: The kokeshi dolls from Yuza Fukuju (photo left: Noppo-san) and Sato Yoshihiro (photo right: Daruma-san) were displayed in a display shelf for about 10 years, and then stored in a cardboard box for about 25 years. I remember that when they were in the display shelf, Daruma-san was placed in the back and Noppo-san in the front. ※ Size: Noppo-san is about 24cm (8 sun), Daruma-san is about 18cm (6 sun). ※ There are no boxes, wrapping paper, or instruction manuals from when they were purchased. ※ Condition: Noppo-san has changed color over time. It has turned a very light amber color overall, and although the red painted parts of the body haven't changed much, the green painted parts have turned a dark blackish color (see photos). Daruma-san doesn't seem to have changed much from when it was purchased. Both dolls have no scratches or cracks on the surface, but Daruma-san has a dent (like something hit it) on one of the bottom corner parts (see photos). ※ Features: I think Noppo-san is made of common materials. Daruma-san has a reddish-brown wood grain and is heavy, so it might be made of "keyaki" (Japanese zelkova). ※ Bottom inscription: "Fukuju" is written on Noppo-san, and "Yoshihiro" is written on Daruma-san, and a red seal is also stamped. (See photos) ※ Packing: They will be wrapped in white paper, then wrapped in cushioning material (reused) to prevent movement in the cardboard box, and shipped to prevent damage during transit.
