This is a Hanaori obi (sash). It has a rather subdued feel, but the design is a basic one for men's obi. The Hanaori weave is interesting. This kind of obi can get lost when paired with dark-colored kimonos that men often wear, so it's more stylish to wear it with light-colored Jofu (fine linen) or yukata (summer cotton kimono) in the summer. Also, I think that if you put a little thought into how you tie it, this kind of obi will give you a new flavor.
