This is a set of two large and medium-sized Wajima-nuri (Wajima lacquerware) trays in washed vermilion. The vermilion lacquer is a beautiful example of traditional Wajima-nuri. These trays are about 40 years old, but are in the same condition as when they were purchased, with no scratches. Nowadays, this type of Wajima-nuri tray is no longer made. They were acquired from Wajima Omukai Kosyudo.
