The neckline is open, but that's actually a good thing. You can layer it or wear it with a cardigan, making it wearable year-round. It's made of cotton, has a moderate thickness, and is almost completely opaque, so it was very useful. I am 156cm tall, and it was ankle-length on me. By the way, when going up the stairs, I would hold up the skirt so I wouldn't step on it. It's labeled as free size.
