It preaches honesty, purity, and compassion. It fuses Shintoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, unifying the faith of the Imperial Family, nobility, and samurai. It spread widely as an object of popular faith from the late Muromachi period to the Edo period. 【Toyotomi Hideyoshi】1537-1598 A military commander of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Born in Owari Nakamura. He served Oda Nobunaga and changed his name from Kinoshita Tokichiro to Hashiba Hideyoshi. He defeated Akechi Mitsuhide in the Battle of Yamazaki, commanded the country in place of Nobunaga, and became Taiko (regent). In his later years, he planned an invasion of Korea. He laid the foundation for the shogunate-domain system by unifying currency, separating soldiers and farmers, implementing Taiko's land survey, and establishing the kokudaka system.
