The FMW Raid Gaff is a gaff specifically designed for catching longtooth groupers. Grouper fishing often involves high platforms, and gaffing is particularly difficult in the dark. The Raid Gaff's small size and light weight make it easy to maneuver and hook in the desired location. Some may worry that the fish will come off during retrieval due to the shallow throat, but groupers generally don't thrash after being gaffed. When being pulled up, they tend to "stick to the bottom" and remain still. They open their mouths wide, spread their gill covers, and bend their bodies, so a shallow throat isn't a problem.
