This is an ear-handled flower vase by Mr. Hiroshi Okada, a leading figure in Hagi-yaki pottery and a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. Mr. Okada has won awards in various exhibitions and is a popular artist representing contemporary Hagi-yaki. He has also served as an officer and secretary-general of the Yamaguchi branch of the Japan Kogei Association, and is a holder of the Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property designation. This piece is a flower vase with a large mouth and ears on both sides, creating an elegant work. The size is 10 cm in diameter at the mouth, 10.5 cm in diameter at the base, and 22.5 cm in height.
