Yamaha YP-800 This is a beautiful record player, a masterpiece that aimed for cost reduction while maintaining almost the same specifications as the top-of-the-line YP-1000 at the time. Includes cartridge. Also has a shell head. The original 7-inch adapter is also included. The inside force canceller uses a counter bar and a low-friction string system. It's a string-suspension type, and many of these are missing the string, but I've included a substitute. It's an old item, but it's in pretty good condition. The dust cover is transparent and shows no yellowing. (It's not brand new, so there might be some minor scratches, but I think it's quite clean. Please refer to the photos.) It functions without any problems. The turntable uses a 31cm diameter aluminum die-cast turntable. It has been finished with ultra-precision processing, achieving an inertial mass of 300kg·cm2. In addition, to eliminate resonance, the outer rim ribs are reinforced, and the turntable itself is made thicker, and rubber sheets are used to effectively absorb resonance. The drive motor uses a 12-pole, 24-slot brushless DC servo motor developed for direct drive. The rotation control is performed by a contactless electronic control system using an electronic commutator circuit, and a highly accurate servo mechanism provides high speed stability. The tonearm uses a lightweight alloy S-shaped pipe arm that employs a gyro gimbal support system for the rotating shaft. It uses integrated zinc die-cast molding with high-precision processing technology to eliminate play and improve durability. In addition, the bearing of the bearing achieves high sensitivity, with an initial sensitivity of 10mg or less for both vertical and horizontal movement. The cabinet has a structure that combines a 15mm thick laminated plywood with reinforcing materials and an aluminum die-cast deck panel. The exterior has a beautiful cast-oil finish. The legs are equipped with large insulators made of special-shaped damper material. A level is built into the deck panel.
