A combination of linen and hand-knitted lace. Thanks to the rustic antique linen, it's not overly ornate, but rather a luxurious yet shabby chic French house linen.
A versatile, extra-large size.
Since there's no lace on the upper part, it can be used as a bedspread, duvet cover, sofa cover, or even curtains. It feels light and airy, swaying in the breeze.
There are some small tears and holes in the lace, as well as some stains, but the damage isn't too significant. I think it's acceptable for those who understand old textiles.
Around 100 years ago in France, daughters and their mothers would prepare bedspreads and tablecloths like these by hand as part of their dowry. The way the fabrics are joined and the lace is sewn on is very meticulous, and you can feel the pride in the handiwork.
