I made a two-layer Taiko obi from a fukuro obi (formal obi). Please wear it for graduation ceremonies, entrance ceremonies, Hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year), etc. It is divided into the part that wraps around the waist and the otaiko (drum) part. The obi that wraps around the waist is a free size, so wrap it around and tie the strings at both ends. The otaiko is secured with Velcro, so it can be extended for storage, and there will be no creases on the obi's mountain. ○ Information on the Obi Pillow Base Since two-piece obis without fasteners tend to slip down, using this will keep the obi from slipping down, providing peace of mind.
