Purchased at an antique flea market in the suburbs of Paris. It is said to be a very old, slightly large glass case for sweets. The removable lid is made of glass in a metal frame, and the body is made of tin. It's a truly wonderful glass and tin showcase with a unique design. It's an old piece from around 1930-40, and it's almost impossible to find another one like it. It has the appearance of a true antique glass showcase. The condition is as it was when purchased. Unfortunately, the glass lid has a crack/break as shown in the photo, and the previous owner has taped it (it could probably be taped better, but replacement at a glass shop would be best). Over the long years, there is rust on the tin, and it seems there are also some very small holes. Please polish the tin rust with sandpaper as you like (if you put cloth, paper, etc. on the bottom, the rust may become less noticeable). If it were in a condition without cracks, it would be quite expensive even in France. It has an attractive shape and presence, so you can enjoy displaying your favorite antique items, collections, sweets, accessories, etc. The lid is the type that lifts up and removes by holding the frame. It is a showcase/display case with a very antique atmosphere. Approximate size: 41x31 cm at the base, about 20 cm high. It is an old item, so there are cracks, stains, scratches, and rust on the glass. Please refrain from purchasing if you are a nervous person.
