Originally, this is a mizusashi (water container) that a Japanese tea master ordered and had made in China long ago. I think it's safe to say it's a standard mizusashi now. Since 2026 is the Year of the Horse, you'll likely have even more opportunities to use it. I've heard that it's often used for the first Horse Day in February and the Boys' Festival in May. Compared to other Hishiba mizusashi, this one is a bit shorter and gives a more compact impression. The artist is Shoami Takano.
