A vintage plate from Rye Pottery, a famous pottery located in the ancient city of Rye, southwest of London. This soft oval dish, 19x16 cm, features a hand-painted bird motif in blue only, and its size makes it easy to use in both Japanese and Western settings. This series was commissioned during a visit to the area in 1993. At that time, Mr. Wally Cole was already over 80 years old, but he was still actively creating. This is a unique and memorable piece.
