This eliminates the sound leakage at volume 0, which is the biggest issue with the standard CTS pots. This phenomenon of sound leakage occurs because of the large residual resistance inside the pot, but the "CUSTOM CTS POT" reduces the residual resistance, which is usually around 20Ω on average, to 4Ω or less. Furthermore, as an effect of this special material, it eliminates the muddiness of the sound when the volume is turned down, and at full volume, it functions as if it were a "volume-through," successfully maximizing the performance of the pickups. Solid brass, which has been confirmed to improve sound quality, is used for the shaft, and the bottom part adopts the "flat-back style" seen in 50's Gibson guitars.
