This is an antique, five-crested, formal silk "tomesode" kimono with a luxurious design of elegant and dignified patterns on a black background, and gold thread embroidery on the edges. The "hakkake" (lining of the skirt) also has a gorgeous pattern, making this a "tomesode" full of antique charm. There is some fading on the black background, and slight soiling on the collar. Also, there are small spots of soiling on the patterned areas, and yellowing on the "doura" (lining of the body). There are no major stains. The hem has a plump cotton padding, and the kimono is carefully made. This is a kimono that allows you to enjoy the antique atmosphere.
