The ones imported by Yamaha were Kruspe, made in the same factory, but the ones imported by Global were sold under the Huller brand. This is a high-grade bassoon made of East German maple. Due to the likely missing 5-6 screws, some key posts are detached. Since I cannot test play it, there may be other missing parts, so it is sold as-is. Also, some pads will probably need to be replaced. Two German-made bocals are included, but both are as-is. The case also has problems with the clasps and hinges, so please consider it for protection during transportation. I think it can be repaired by a repairman to a playable condition, but it will cost a considerable amount. Please use it for repair, parts, interior decoration, etc. Generally, the wood used for bassoons is said to be better in older instruments than in the present, and the sound quality is better because it is carefully dried and has a high density. This is similar to the reason for the Stradivarius violin. Huller and Kruspe are said to be slightly inferior to Adler and Schreiber, but they are masterpieces made by German craftsmen. This is a good old German-made bassoon using good wood. It is priced very cheaply because it is as-is.
