These are Volks-made, Katamura glass eyes, acquired via online auction about twenty years ago. They are 20mm in size and red in color, with white iris lines. The deep red color is very beautiful. The back is flattened, but there are black spots and dirt that look like soot. However, although the iris color is gorgeous, unfortunately, the actual sizes are 16mm and 17.2mm, resulting in a significant size difference. Therefore, they are listed as "slightly defective." In those days, there weren't as many ways to buy glass eyes as there are now, and red glass eyes were especially rare and difficult to obtain. Also, Katamura glass eyes were very popular, with transactions of 20,000 or 30,000 yen being commonplace. I remember buying these, despite the size difference, for around 10,000 yen. I've only tried them on my dolls a couple of times and haven't actually used them for an extended period. There are no noticeable scratches or foreign objects, but please understand that these are used items that have been handled by at least two people.
