The name comes from the Meiji era, when the 3rd Sanyutei En'yu wore white momohiki (long underwear) under his kimono during his stage performance "Steteko Odori" (Steteko Dance). Also known as: Steteko. ・These pants have a silhouette similar to a "Tachitsuke" (pants with the lower legs cinched with strings), which is a type of hakama. ・These are Tachitsuke En'yu pants with a little extra room in the "ryo" (meaning "a little") = the calf area. ・Two pockets, one on each side of the outside. ・The waist has an elastic band and drawstring.
