Akira Takasaki himself produced the album, and the title is, simply, self-titled "LOUDNESS." The sound was reborn from the "aesthetic beauty" emphasized by LOUDNESS in the 1980s to a heavier, darker sound that emphasized "groove," and it became a hit, debuting at number 2 on the Oricon album chart.
