Materials that are too soft, too hard, or too light in weight are excluded during production (as this affects the resonance and overall playability). The tone is rich in vibration, and it is easy to control from bright to dark tones. It is also easy to control the pianissimo, and the balance between low and high notes is carefully adjusted. By using a new machine instead of the one used previously, the base is slightly thicker, but the slope from the part where the reed is held to the tip is beautiful, resulting in good response and a stable, well-balanced finish. The Medir material uses profiled kamaboko-shaped cane processed by Medir, and is shaped using a Reeds 'n Stuff straight shaper R1. The thread on the reed is currently light pink.
