For custom handles for Abu reels, there are models with a handle attachment hole diameter of approximately 7.6mm. It will fit if you shave off 0.2mm from the diameter of the part that contacts the screw. It's a very small amount. If you shave off too much, you will need a retainer. Genuine handles for Abu 1500 to 6500 series reels and metal W-handles from old Daiwa baitcasting reels can be used without a retainer. Hex nuts are brass, made in Japan. Handle shafts are 316 stainless steel, made in Japan. Using the Daiwa baitcasting reel handle in the photo will make the handling smoother than the original handle. It cannot withstand salt.
