I purchased this violin on Mercari from a seller who was offering a lovely instrument. Here's a summary of the description: * Purchase price: 48,000 yen (violin body only) * Made in 2003 * Materials: Resonance spruce with excellent acoustic properties and select flame maple with beautiful tiger striping. Aged and dried, it shows no warping and maintains a stable condition. * Easy to play in tune across the entire range, and easy to produce sound. * No damage or noticeable scratches, only minor scratches from normal use. * Fully cleaned, with new strings and fitting parts replaced. My child currently uses a Suzuki 1/2 violin and seems to prefer the Suzuki sound. We've decided to stick with Suzuki for the 3/4 size as well, so I'm selling this violin to help fund the purchase. If anyone likes the sound of Gliga violins, please consider this one. I only had the chance to test it out in mid-August when I consulted with my teacher about the size upgrade. The case is new and unused, purchased from Amazon for 3,000 yen. I will include a new Brazilwood bow. You may want to purchase a new one if you prefer. You may also want to replace the strings. There is no shoulder rest. I have discounted the price by about 10,000 yen from the original purchase price, as you may need to replace/purchase a bow, strings, and shoulder rest.
