Type... Pottery... Echizen ware This is an Edo period Echizen flower vase (tsubo). I feel it could be called Ko-Echizen (Old Echizen). The natural glaze covering the inside of the vase is very nice. It is in a box with a written inscription by Zabosai, the current head of the Urasenke tea ceremony school, so it is also very suitable as a tea utensil. Size: Approximately 16.8 cm in height, approximately 16.5 cm in width. Please allow for some error. The last image shows a crack (nyu). Otherwise, it is generally in good condition.
