The teddy bear series is known in Japan, but they actually made other animals too. Among them, these rabbits are incredibly cute. The lathe work is so superb and smooth that it's truly impressive. Like the bears, the eyes are inlaid wooden parts, and they are meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. It's truly remarkable how such a beautiful rabbit form can be achieved with a simple combination of shapes. I wanted all the types, so I bought several sets and ended up with duplicates. These are very rare, and due to the high original price, the terrible yen depreciation, shipping costs, and customs duties, the total cost became quite high. m(_ _)m But once you hold them, you'll feel they are worth more than the price! The lying rabbit's tail has some areas that appear white, possibly due to peeling of the finishing paint. The sticker also shows some damage and dirt. The large rabbit's ear has a small dent, like a scuff mark, which was present from the beginning. The tip of the ear might also be slightly shaved, only noticeable when viewed from directly above. The bottom edge of the small sitting rabbit has a slightly rounded surface from the start. This is not noticeable when the rabbit is standing. I only noticed it when I picked it up and looked at the bottom. It seems to be part of the shape from manufacturing, as it is painted over. None of these are very noticeable, and the condition is excellent overall. Perfect for year-round display, as well as Easter decorations, or as a zodiac ornament for the Year of the Rabbit.
