The main difference between the Japanese and European specifications is that the basic performance is exactly the same, with the 1/4000 second shutter speed feature remaining, but the European specification does not have a date function. The focus is on whether you will use the date function on an SLR camera. The LCD screen has some slight discoloration, and it may be difficult to see depending on the angle.
