It utilizes the filter attachment function of the HA-11. The filter size is 46mm. The minimum focusing distance when attached is 20cm. The magnification ratio is 1:8.2. It consists of 2 elements in 1 group, designed to suppress chromatic aberration and distortion. It also employs a super multi-layer coating to reduce flare and ghosting. Note that the minimum focusing distance of the DP1 without the AML-1 is 30cm. Also, to speed up AF focusing, the DP1 has a mode that sets the minimum focusing distance to 50cm, in addition to the normal FULL mode. In that case, when the AML-1 is attached, the minimum focusing distance becomes 33cm, and the maximum magnification ratio becomes 1:14.9.
