Zōhiko, Heian, founded in 1661 (Kanbun 1), is a Kyoto lacquerware company that has been carrying on the tradition of Kyoto lacquerware for over 350 years. The "Mutsumi Wan" (harmony bowl) is imbued with the wish that "a married couple will remain harmonious and beautiful forever." It has a moist finish of genuine lacquer. Made by carving natural wood on a potter's wheel, it is light, hard to break, and does not easily conduct heat, making it ideal for enjoying warm dishes.
