This is a simple DIY kit for a BijoDam-style Western engraving chisel, primarily for φ2 (2.4mm) M~L size chisels, featuring an adjustable-length collet and an unfinished, commercially available wooden grip. Chisels, scales, and drills are not included. For construction, you will need at least a 5mm drill and epoxy adhesive. For use as a chisel, you will also need a separate φ2 (2.4mm) Western engraving chisel from our shop. Image 1 is a completed image of the S&F cut type. The drill is a guide for the length of the collet inserted into the grip. The adjustment range varies depending on the depth of the hole drilled. Image 3 shows grip variations, but the price is for the left or center S&F mushroom long or cut type. The right vallorbe (AL4002) is an additional 75 yen, for a choice of three types. Due to the thickness of the grip, compact shipping is included for 520 yen. For the collet only, without the grip, it will be -510 yen via Nekopos shipping. Please confirm the stock and price via comment before purchasing the grip selection and availability. I am handmade producing brass pipes, but it takes time to make them, so they are limited items. You can get more length than a wooden chuck handle. Although there is only one set screw, it is 6mm long and sized to the shaft diameter of the chisel, so it is sufficiently fixed. I use a set collar, which is a black part, but if the shaft diameter matches, it will be firmly fixed with one M3 length 3mm screw. Total length is about 50mm, shaft diameter 5mm, hole diameter 2mm, head shaft diameter 7mm, post height about 4mm, and a set screw M4 length 6mm is included. The outer diameter of the set collar is φ11, and each wrench is also included. The chisel insertion length is about 9mm, hole diameter 2.5mm. Currently, a grip handle exclusively for collets is being prototyped. It is a simple DIY kit that involves enlarging the pre-existing hole in a grip that can be drilled with a 5mm drill to your desired length and width, and then gluing it with epoxy adhesive.
