It explains things for children using photos and illustrations, and the illustrations are truly beautiful, making it enjoyable just to look at them. It covers not only the mechanisms of cars and ships but also their history, various equipment, and even futuristic cars envisioned 50 years ago. It also predicts future automotive traffic networks. The mechanisms of Mercedes-Benz's experimental safety vehicles were particularly interesting. It's also fun to compare them with today's technology. As you can see from the table of contents, there are a wide variety of pages. It has been stored at home, so there are no major written markings, but there are stains, dirt, cracks, and chips.
